Mama's Wedding

Mama's wedding was yesterday, July 14, 2012. She was the happiest I've ever seen her in my entire life. It was a beautiful ceremony, but bittersweet. Randy was there, mama's best friend who passed away in March's husband. He has stage 3 lung cancer and is not doing real well. We all love him so much and are praying so hard for his recovery. We all were missing Rene so bad. She should have been there. It broke my heart. She was so influential in moms life. She was her confidant, companion, secret keeper and best friend. She was the one mom could always talk to about anything and not get any judgement in return. Rene was like that with all of us. She was a best friend to the entire family. I could call her at any time and talk about anything. Her passing was so sudden and we all were so shocked. Randy has had to deal with a cancer diagnosis and losing his wife all in one month. I know she was smiling down on the wedding. There was a white butterfly circling our van when we got ready to leave the house to go to the church. I know that was her spirit. Sorry for the rambling, just so much to blog. Mom looked so beautiful in her dress. Jerry looked nice in his suit too. I'm going to post pics soon.

Good Times

Today I went and helped get ready for mamas wedding. Alec and the kids put tents up in the yard in case it rains. I breaded 44 lbs of chicken drummettes and rolled my sweet memaws hair. That was the highlight of my day. I haven't rolled her hair in years and its such an honor to do. I cherish those times. I'm so blessed to be 32 years old and still have my grandparents. I love them so much! Here's a pic of me rolling her hair.

Then Jana and Trudy decided they were going to make dresses out of some extra fabric we had.

Wonderful day. Then tonight we went to listen to tommy sing karaoke at Generations Bar. Good times.

Uneventful Day

We didn't do much today... we all kinda just hung out at the house and sat around.

We had a great night tonight. We hung out with Tommy and Michelle and had fun just talking and listening to Tommy sing. We've not had a good time in awhile so it was nice.

feeling a lil better

im feeling a lil more positive about our situation today. still aggrivated but im going to find a way to talk to alec about our issues. probably  wont change much but at least he will know how i feel.
